TBGR COUTURE was created out of a single thought at a show in Cleveland, Ohio while at a Zombie Apparel runway / concert
show & Movie viewing. The girls took it to their College town, created the website and got spotted by Cleveland Fashion
Week. A CFW Director contacted them and encouraged them to show their line at the 2005 runway event.
Luckily, by coincidence Dartanya's downstairs neighbor Sheryl just put 20 boxes of fabric she got from a fabric store
that was going out of business on her porch. The fashion line happened in a 3-4 night weeend with a few boxes of vintage fabrics,
many cups of coffee, two sewing machines and loud music. That week came and they racked all their designs and took it to the
CFW fitting. The rest is history but a complete blast.

The two headed fashion godess' behind the collection are Felicia Kassim & Dartanya Butcher. While Felicia is inspired
by a Stephen Sprouse & Bowie/T Rex Era and mingles with eastern influences including Japanese Fashion & Betsey Johnson,
she also enjoys the universal androgyny of a black and white blouse or drooling over Paris born couture by Christian
Dior & Italian obsessions like Cavalli, Valentino, Etro and Dolce & Gabbana.
Dartanya takes a head of punk influenced by Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood & both still love Galliano.
Dartanya is deffinately a Yohji Yamamoto fan and will always be found cranking the volume up to Audioslave or Nine Inch Nails.
The girls agree on all their musical tastes and typically sport Gucci & Chanel handbags next to their handmades. They
both enjoy making their own plaid pants and will never give up wearing leg-warmers. Both have memories of being little girls
and dressing up like Madonna or Paula Abdul and performing the sing-a-long to their parents in the living room.
Both designers studied at Kent State University, as well as the fahsion line Felicia is now amidst a Fashion Internship
with a rising Elite Fashion News Company and Dartanya also works as a wardrobe stylist for a television
show on CW Network, manages her own design house as well as TBGR COUTURE COLLECTION and is a Fashion Buyer for a Company
in Ohio.
The girls love Music, Travel, Art, Literature, Film and Nature. Both are cat people and enjoy hot tea, the idea of being
in Europe and the outdoors. They met in 2004, the first day of class at KSU at the bus stop. Both were late for class, didn't
know were they were going, bubbly and the only girls who seemed to be talkative in a class full of zombies; the girls instantly
clicked and have been loyal friends ever since, as well as co-designers and business women together.
Amongst history in fashion and famous design houses, Music, Art, Nature & Culture are some of the subjects that inspire
their design inspirations and styling. Both girls are highly-creative and work with the flow of one another. As well as good
faith, fashion is an important flower vine in the garden that keeps these girls together. The energy between them
and the amount of work that gets done in the bouncing decisive manner, is truly magnificant and innate.
TBGR COUTURE COLLECTION'S have said to be described as "provocative, loud, risque and strong" and the girls are learning
how to incorporate other words like "ecclectic, chic, clean & detailed" in also. The evolution of a fashion line is like
a metamorphosis that pleases you each and every time, more and more over time.
